2 weeks back I went to East LDN to Brick Lane and went to a friends exhibition “361 Down, 4 to go…” and there was a freestyle wall to draw on. It was an amazing vibe getting art students together and artists to contribute. I observed for a good 10 minutes and my best friend gave me a pen to tempt me. I had not hand drawn anything for a while, given that most of my graphics are now digital these days. But after this event it really fuelled my drawing skills again and how much I missed real art!!

I found this beautifully Italian animated short film about the life of Soichiro Honda. I love the sketches in the story and the entire look of the film is very enchanting.
Writer and Director Michele D’Auria’s captivates our imagination and makes us realize that whatever your dreams are, you should follow them. This film left me to believe in more of myself and my dreams, and just maybe one day I will get there. Check out his website http://www.micheledauria.com/
Sit back, relax and enjoy the short film… and I recommend watching it in full screen HQ version, so let it load..

Yes, I have been convinced by Jesús Plaza to make a music video with him and got together a small team, hopefully we’ll be growing it. We’re going to produce an animated music video for the band “Reverso” where you can check out their stuff at www.reversomusica.com and I also have my animation buddy Juliana to help me, hopefully I’ll get Gary B too to help.
But you can check out the production blog, where we’ll be bringing you the latest updates to keep track on our progression.
Yes! It’s here, after awaiting for competitions to finish I can finally showcase my 3D short film that I helped make during my final major year at Ravensbourne College of Design & Communication last year. We got nominated for Royal Television Society Student Awards 2008, we sadly didn’t win, but our class colleagues with the film “Cooped Up” won.
It was all blood sweat and tears for this film, I remember not sleeping for many months, and the crazy rendering times we had to face. Retrospectively I think I would have enjoyed my course more if I had got along with my tutors. Ah well… now I am working on my own stuff, who cares about the past. The experience I had from university I took with me and I learnt a lot of fundamentals, time to progress on and develop.
But enjoy the film and I would like to see comments…

I’ve always been drawn to motion graphics, I guess that’s why I did Animation. But I never realised how much I actually enjoyed doing motion graphics than character animation. In a sense the way something or an object moves creates its own character. I have forgotten how much I love graphic art, photography, animation and amongst being inspired by all the things around me.
Here I have found some amazing and inspiring show reels from other people, and some elements here I want in my own show reel.
There are no words to describe what I have been going through lately, there have been ups and downs. I have been drawing a lot lately and I’ve left some drawings down in Brighton, which I will scan in later. I have not touched 3D at all since I pretty much graduated, yet I am behind, but it feels liberating as I have missed what I love the most, which is pencil and paper! I want to thank my closest friends for helping me get through some tough times, and this one’s for you.
Ok so after a painful night of staying up to try and get tickets for Micheal Jackson on Friday, it just did not happen at all! I couldn’t get to the website properly as their servers were going crazy and no phone lines were working to O2…. *sigh I’m not like a huge fan of MJ, but “This is It” it’s his last shows ever and I did grow up to the legend….
So yeah enough of my boring story, my website is undergoing some new changes…
I’m trying to find a new way of displaying my portfolio. But before I can even do that I have to create some content, which I am working on right now. I am re-doing a new animation demoreel, and hopefully some more photo shoots. So I am looking for work if any of you guys are interested come drop me a line at info{at}eva-ng.com
My last photo-shoot practice was of my friend and colleague, Greg Holden who is an amazing singer/song writer who left to live up his dreams in New York City. He played his last gig in London on the 19th of February at Monkey Chews. I only wish the best for him and am so happy for him that he went off to chase after his dreams.
His final words to me that he’ll miss us and told to get my ass over to L.A! and I said I will one day. Cos’ it does make me sad inside that I should be doing the same thing to chase after my dreams in L.A for film/animation….. well one day I say to myself.
It’s always that visa that is stopping me, so strict and tough to get one, I’ll have to either sponsored or employed straight up. But Apple won’t support me on visa, which sucks. Unless you bright sparks got any other ideas…. (and no I won’t get married to an America) I don’t think I’m really up to that.
So head over to my FlickR and check out the some of the shots I took at Greg’s last gig. I shot on a Canon 450D, with a standard 18-55mm lens…. I’m actually looking into selling this camera, I want to get the 5D! anyone interested? Drop me a line…
Top of my reading list right now are Haruki Murikami books! I’m finishing up on “Dance Dance Dance!” amazing books. Favourite one so far is “Norwegian Wood”. One other one I’ve read of his is “Kafka on the Shore” be sure to check them out. He’s a really crazy author himself, where he would go for a run in the morning and then come back home to write his books, amongst other things related with women.
Don’t forget to check out my other blog, which is constantly up to date (well I try to)!! See what I’m doing and what is going on….
